Hi
Not being able to sleep could be a symptom of depression. Sometimes, fluoxetine can affect sleep..so it is recommended that you take fluoxetine in the morning after breakfast.
The medicine takes about 2 weeks to start showing an effect. Your sleep problem should improve once your depression goes away with treatment. You can try certain things to help you sleep better like making sure your room is comfortable, restricting use of caffeine, tea and alcohol, doing exercise, yoga and meditation.
If still you are suffering from insomnia, please see to our psychiatrist for a review of medicine.
Thanks
Regards
