Hello Sir, Taking Ashwagandha is good and will help you gain energy but its better to take a combination of drugs rather than single drug like Ashwagandha , Satavari, Safed Musli , konch etc which may surely help you solve the problem.

Ashwagandha is good to gain bulk and improve energy levels. But Understanding that it is not the only solution. We are energetic when our doshas are balanced. I would recommend you to add 1. Antioxidants in your ahaar like Omega 3 Sources: Seeds and Nuts 2. Dietary Protein: Sources: eggs, soya, legume salads, paneer 3. Add  fiber in your every meal because fiber will keep your gut cleansed and you will feel more energetic Most important is utilising these by body to build bulk mass that will only happen with the right kind of exercise. And yes, remember that Anupaan for ashwagandha is milk if you are looking to gain weight.
Next Steps
follow these steps and take a proper diet

Hlo dear Sorry to be blunt with you Just self medicating with some of the supplements you may know or some of your friend has advised is not the appropriate way Every person's body built is different that's why we are different. Consumption of ashwagandha is ok but which part are you consuming matters i.e. its roots powder or leaf powder because both have different properties.
Next Steps
Just consult to your nearby Ayurvedic Physician
Health Tips
In case you want it just for energy booster then it won't show you effect alone you have to prepare a supplement of some of the ingredients together 😊

Ashwagandha will help for maintaining good health. Also you have to check vitamin d3, vitamin B12, calcium and iron. Alteast check and maintain the level. If it's low, take supplements and maintain with food. Then you will feel more fresh and active. Required physical exercise, meditate morning before 7:30 AM These will get more energetic.

Improve your diet and lifestyle and take proper sleep so the body gets proper amount of rest and it will also help the medication to work properly .
Next Steps

How many months you take ashwagandha?? And if you take only ashwagandha medicine without consulting ayurvedic doctor that's not be helpful... because in ayurveda without dipan pachan ( to do digestive fire proper and remove other non visible toxins form body ) no medicine give results. So kindly consult ayurveda doctor..
Health Tips
you can take ashwagandha with warm milk at night and in early morning do exercise, medication or drink plenty of warm water..
