Healthy morning, Triglycerides are type of fat found in blood . Limiting saturated fats, added sugar , excessive alcohol, and refined carbohydrates can help lower a person’s triglyceride levels. The food can help lower triglycerides: 1. Oily fish like sardines and salmon 2. All vegetables, especially leafy greens, green beans, butter squash 3. All fruits, especially citrus and berries 4. Low fat or fat free dairy products such as cheese, yogurt, milk 5. High - fiber whole grain such as quinoa, barley, brown rice 6. Beans, nuts, and seeds which contain fiber and unsaturated, healthy fats Things to limit or avoid: 1. Limit alcohol consumption 2. Limit added sugar 3. Keep carbs 50-60 % or fewer of their total calories 4. Limit dietary fats to 25-35 % of their total daily calories 5. Choose unsaturated fats from plant oils, nuts, seeds, over saturated and trans fats found in animal products and processed foods.
