hello lasik is very good option to get rid of glasses Doctor will perform few tests (Schirmer test, Pentacam and Fundus examination) and if all tests are normal then you can go for lasik surgery without fear. Success rate of LASIK is over 96%. Side effects may vary from minimal like mild dryness, DALK , haloes, glare to severe like infection (very rare). precaution include: a. avoid face/head wash for 1 week b. avoid swimming /water sports for 6 weeks c. avoid eye make up for 6 weeks Cost :depends on Type of lasik which varies from 25000 for standard lasik to 1.10 lacs for SMILE lasik For more details, you can read my health tip on LASIK

You are 20yrs old&your myopic power stabilised, you can go for LASIK if you don't want to use contact lens or eyeglasses, but after 40yrs again you will have to go for eyeglasses for near vision .To know the pros&cons of the procedure, consult ophthmologist & have discussion in detail

I think you should know that LASIK is nowadays performed most commonly for the treatment of short-sighted and long-sighted vision problems, it serves as a good alternative for people dependant on spectacles and contact lenses. The effectiveness of the surgery in people with malnutrition and systemic illiness are not satisfactory. However precise might be a the surgery done to a person, improper postoperative management will cause infection. If you are still worried kindly consult a ophthalmologist for further management.
