I've joined Gym last week and started lifting weight. Since i am a right handed i am easily able to lift 2.5kg dumbbell on my right hand. But i am not able to lift the same with left hand without a support. Its like i need to use my right hand to initiate and lift weight with left hand. Am i weak ?

You are easily coordinated for movements on right when you are right hand dominant. Most of our daily activities will involve using the right which makes it a tad bit stronger than the left. However it does not mean your body is weak overall.
Next Steps
Start with your gradual weight training plan you will attain similar amount of strength in both the limbs latest by 4weeks .
