Low hemoglobin
My hemoglobin is 8.5. Doctor gave me orofer xt tablet but can I take syrup instead of tablet. What will be the dose and when should  I take . pls help

Yes syrup orofex xt is also acceptable 10ml (2tsp) 1 2hrs after meal

Avoid taking iron medication on empty stomach,Iron treatment can sometimes cause stomach upset or dark stools (no need to worry in such case consult for alternative salt of iron preparation)

First u need to know what made u develop low hemoglobin .. u need to find the root cause rather than cutting out branches .. so investigate for the cause of anemia and then taking appropriate meds will giv u fruitful results .. u also shud test for b12 to c if u don't have megaloblastic anemia .. do consult to get clear picture .. don't worry shud be alright soon...

For any hemoglobin level less than 9, I always recommend iv iron ( or) blood transfusion: because of the risk that are associated with severe anemia

the combination of tablet and syrup are different, but can take syrup 5ml, 2hr after breakfast lunch and dinner
