I have been experiencing lower back pain post playing badminton. Feels I like have pulled a muscle or two. The pain is continuous and I can feel my lower back muscles hard as well. I can't lie down properly as well.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times

Back pain with out leg pain usually settles with physio. Once pain settles do back muscle strengthening exercises. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration because dehydrated disc is more prone to injury

I have reviewed your problem, its mainly due to lack of exercise. Sudden catch at lower back. Follow the below things
1. Apply hot water pack
2. Do back Stretching Exercise followed by Strengthening Exercises
3. Core muscle, Back Strengthening Exercises

It could be a muscle Spasm or some joint related issue. Do some icing, or you can take any Over the counter pain killer. If pain doesn't resolve in 2 days then see a orthopaedic doctor or Physiotherapist.
