I got a really bad muscle strain in my neck and shoulder 3 days back, after waking up in the morning. I had tolpa D tablet 1 night and tried ice packs and rest of the time I tried hot water bags and pain balms. It got better now as pain is less but still it's not going completely. It keeps shifting from center of neck to left or right shoulder. Please suggest how can it be cured fully. I tried doing some neck shoulder exercises and yoga also.

I think it may be due to poor posture or doing exercises in wrong way.?
So please keep your posture correct always during work and using mobile phones or sleeping.
Do some isometric exercises of neck.

Please get an x-ray done of cervical spine first.
