Nephrotic syndrome

My mother is suffering from extreme swelling on whole body. Reports says she is lacking protein in blood and found protein in urine. Our family doctor prescribed her lasix for 5 days however I am worried because she is feeling uneasy even after 3 days course and gained 7 kg weight over last 2 days
