Having a strong immunity is a must to help defend our body from invading microorganisms. Below are some effective tips on how to boost your immune system : 1) Getting enough Vitamins is the best thing you can do for your body. Eat more of immunity boosting Vitamin rich foods (list of the same is given at the end) For your own good, stay miles away from fad diets. 2) Get enough sunlight. It is the best source of Vitamin D which is necessary for upping the immunity. About 20 to 30 minutes in the morning sun is good enough. 3)  Eat enough Vegetables and Fruits. Yes, you need to eat 2 to 3 fruits and much more vegetables than you think. 4) Consume herbs and spices like Raw Turmeric/ Organic Turmeric powder,  Moringa (Drumstick) leaves (fresh juice), Ajwain, Ginger, Srilankan Rolled Cinnamon, Star anise, Black Pepper, Clove (Laung ), Onions and Garlic. They have medicinal properties and help strengthen the body's defense system. You can also make herbal tea using some of these ingredients. 5) Sleep well for about 7 to 8 hours. That is the time when the body works on repair and recovery. Without this, nothing else you do will be that effective. 6) Exercise regularly at home /in an open space. Avoid going to overcrowded places. 7) LAST BUT THE  MOST IMPORTANT :  Keep stress at bay (mainly - stay away from negative news on social media)  Practice meditation, Pranayam and other relaxation techniques, Read books, dance, sing, indulge in your hobbies & interests.
