My niece is having pain in the upper abdomen and chest area, she recently got her periods for the first tym after which the pain started. I m confused, as if the pain was due to periods it would be in lower abdomen but she is having pain in upper abdomen. Please help

Hi...if it's pain in the upper half of the abdomen then it is unlikely of dysmenorrhea (pain due to menstruation)..get one USB abdomen done to rule out other pathology..as per ur history pain must be due to either gastritis or some kind of muscle ache...hope dat answers ur question
