Pain in Left side of chest
I suffer from pain in the left side of chest whenever i try to sleep lying on the left side of the body. It slowly builds up and later it becomes uncomfortable sleeping on the left side, if i move to the right side it doesnt hurts anymore, also it disappears within minutes of waking up. In the last 1.5 yrs i have consulted 2 Cardiologists, 2 Pulmonologists and 1 Psychiatrist, they did X-Ray, ECG, Ultrasound, PFT and concluded that my heart and lungs are absolutely healthy and have been prescribed medicines related to nerves that caused to me sleep insanely. Later in may this year, i stopped all medications and started working out in gym and since then the pain disappeared but now i have taken a pause since last 1 month and the pain has resumed, although its not that painfull as it was before. Im clueless what needs to be done and which Dr. to see after going through so many Drs.

Hello it’s pain of gastritis. When you sleep on left side the stomach gastric acid flows towards oesophageal varice in stomach causes heaviness. Take pentop 40 at night drink warm water before sleeping and eat light dinner . USG or CT will not show any abnormality. Some time hiatus hernia too lead to this problem that need to be ruled out. Pulmonary temponade too cause this problem but as you said you have consulted cardiologist and pulmonologist so cardiac and pulmonary temponade is ruled out. Now left is hiatus hernia . Consult a gastroenterologist to rule out that. In the abscence of hiatus hernia it’s simple gastritis. As you have said that with exercise it go away then even hiatus hernia too ruled out but still it need to doubly sure.
