Do I need to take vitamin C supplements if I'm already taking Ferrous ascorbate?
I've heard ferrous ascorbate is a mixture of iron and vitamin C?

iron deficiency anaemia is caused by due to deficiency of iron .
anemia is defined as low hemoglobin level and iron deficiency cause low hemoglobin level so if anyone have a low iron deficiency can be patient of iron deficiency anaemia.
so so for treatment of iron deficiency anaemia it is necessary to take iron supplement to increase the hemoglobin level.
now we comes to the point of ascorbic acid in the treatment of iron deficiency anaemia.
Role of vitamin C or Ascorbic acid only increase and help in the absorption of iron.
So medicine of iron deficiency anemia comes in the form of combination of iron and vitamin C for better absorption.
Next Steps
before take of any medicine you should take consultation from a good doctor.
Health Tips
you should also take green vegetable and fruit to increase the iron level.
My view is that you need Vit C with Ferrous ascorbate.
You need Vit C in a dose of 500 mg to 1000 mg. Whereas Ferrous ascorbate can't have that amount of Ascorbate.
Secondly the property of Vit C will not be found in Ascorbate.
