Regarding aafevts on kidneys.
I am drinking herbalife protien powder since 10 days along with some diet modifications and 3 to 4 litres of water daily and have lost 3 kgs.Does drinking herbalife protien powder affects kidneys? And please tell other harmful effects of drinking protien powder for weight loss.

I am happy to see that you are drinking a lot of water along with your protein powder. That is extremely essential. As far as side effects are concerned, in the initial stages of taking protein powder a lot of people do have gas and dry throat. Your kidneys would only be affected if you are drinking excessive protein. Probably 4 to 5 times a day and not drinking enough water. You have your basics right so unless you are allergic to something this should not affect your kidneys that much.

Hi U need to give the details of ur diet besides the protein shakes. 3kgs weight loss in 10 days is pretty fast. Drastic food reductions is not advisable. It actually works against weight loss within a short period of time. Try losing weight in a scientific way...low fat high fibre medium carbs n protein in required quantity with an exercise regime. In my practice I have come across patients using herbalife products with failures in different ways.
