Regarding vomit stopping emeset
Hello doctor, Is emeset pediatric syrup is an sos (as needed) medicine or should be given as a course once started... Maximum continuously how many days it can be given (2 or 3 days)...my 3 yrs 11 months old girl had continuous vomit n took emecet injection early mrng...no onset of vomit after tat... doctor prescribed 5 ml thrice a day emeset syrup...does it necessary or should I give only if she starts to vomit...if to be given for how many days...

The cause of vomiting has to be looked into. The cause can be dangerous or self limiting. If emeset has to act, it will act in 1 or 2 doses. It should not be continued for more than a day because it is for temporary relief not a cure.

Generally once triggered baby generally needs minimum dose to avoid further triger of vomit .thrice daily for 1 day wil work
