You are facing Eagle's syndrome. Eagle's syndrome is a condition associated with the elongation of the styloid process or calcification of the stylohyoid ligament, clinically characterised by throat and neck pain, radiating into the ear.
Next Steps
The most definitive treatment of Eagle Syndrome is surgical amputation or excision of the elongated styloid process. Two different approaches have been proposed for the surgical treatment of Eagle syndrome: 1) the intraoral or trans pharyngeal and 2) the extraoral or transcervical approach.
