Sore throat
Sore throat from last 4 days.
Started Cipla Azee 250mg from yesterday night.
Recovery is very slow.

Hi there. This is Dr Satya Kiran - ENT consultant from Hyderabad. As per ur history it's sore throat. The usual organism causing sore throat is bacteria named steptococcus. Drug of choice is penicillin group. So we recommend Augmentin 625 mg (adult dosage) one tablet twice daily for 5 days. As u took azithromycin (Azee) second line drug, that too pediatric dose of 250 mg instead of adult dose of 500 mg. That too to be taken early morning before breakfast for 5 days.
