Tea on diet
I am on a weight loss diet as my BMI falls under obese category. I have been asked to cut tea in my routine but i am unable to do so. I have full cup of tea twice a day. I try very hard to not have but i can't resist myself from having it. Will it impact my weight loss goal? How do i deal with it?

Hi Tea is good for health as it also contains caffeine in considerable portions.. Herbal tea infusions are good as they contains polyphenolic compounds and flavonols/ flavonoids that have antioxidant  properties and offer many/ numerous health benefits including weight loss to individuals when consumed in moderation.. so you need not completely cut down on tea..you can have it without sugar if possible otherwise you can go for some other alternatives to tea like green tea, black tea, black coffee and other healthy herbal teas...which has many health benefits to give.. 1 or 2 cups of tea per day without sugar or honey is ok..and doesn't impact health in any bad way.. green tea on empty stomach upon waking or green tea 30 mins before to lunch are effective for weight loss..

Hi Tea have a type of flavonoid called catechins that may boost metabolism help your body break down fats more quickly. And the caffeine in many tea increases your energy use, causing your body to burn more calories. These two compounds probably work best together for any weight lose that may occur. But you have to chose correct tea like lemon tea , black tea , green tea , herbal tea these are the option which you can opt. Tea with milk and sugar during weight lose journey is not advisable.

You can take tea there are no harmful effects. You can also reduce weight while having tea in your diet. Tea contains caffeine so, if it’s taken in moderation there are no bad effects as such. Over all you can reduce fat while having tea in your diet.
