Please check out if it's wisdom tooth that's hurting. Wisdom tooth can be extracted after taking an IOPA X-RAY.
If it is the 2nd molar, get the xray done, and proceed with the xray findings if the Root canal treatment is possible or tooth has to go for extraction.
