Hi. It could be due to multiple reasons. Could be an erupting third molar/ wisdom tooth or some decaying tooth or failing old filling. You need to visit a dentist and get an X-ray done to figure this out.

Please check out if it's wisdom tooth that's hurting. Wisdom tooth can be extracted after taking an IOPA X-RAY. If it is the 2nd molar, get the xray done, and proceed with the xray findings if the Root canal treatment is possible or tooth has to go for extraction.
