It's upper first molar teeth... It was treated with root canal treatment around 10years ago.. now it's paining.. especially when I chew and have hot and sweet things... It's not covered with any crown (artificial teeth) just some kind of ceramic filling... What should be done... Any home remedies.. or over the counter medicine or should consult doctors?? Is it serious...

It’s not possible without an X-ray and history to give you a definite treatment plan We need to shoot an X-ray first .. see if there is a root canal failure or leakage from the existing filling which has caused the damage ..

Hi mam...    Pain may be due to many cause.... It may be re infection of the root canal treated tooth due to any missed canal during root canal or pocket formation of the root canal treated tooth or due to infection of the adjacent tooth.... You need to x ray of the affected tooth.... If there is re infection then you need to go for Re root canal treatment followed by capping.... If infection is in the adjacent teeth then you go for treatment of that concerned tooth
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist for further consultation and management

Should consult with a Endodontist nearby who is a root canal specialist. The Endodontist will take a xray of your previously treated tooth to find out the status of Rct which has been done. If required the doctor may advice for a re root canal treatment followed by a full coverage crown.
Next Steps
Consult a Endodontist nearby to judge ur case better
Health Tips
Don't miss out the crown this time.... As every Rct treated tooth gets weakened with time without a proper crown

Reasons for this pain could be multiple. It could also be due to the adjacent tooth... Or probably pockets. Also the RCT is incomplete without a crown. You need a dental checkup. An x-ray would help in better diagnosis
Next Steps
see a nearby dentist asap

The pain may be because of reinfection of the rct treated tooth or most probably due to cavity in the adjacent teeth. Consult the dentist get the proper clinical examination and xray done. Medicines will not give you permanent relief. Get the proper treatment done suggested by your dentist, And later on also go for crown don't leave the tooth like this or else the chances of the  fracture of the tooth increases.
