The response of a patient to acupuncture is depends on the severity of the illnes and the length of time the patient has suffered from it. Visited Dr. Raman Kapur (Acupuncturist)
Hoped for better: Explanation of the health issueValue for moneyWait timeTreatment satisfactionDoctor friendliness
I visited Dr. Raman Kapur's clinic in Greater Kailash on 29th November 2016 with chronic pains in my joints. My treatment continued for next three months (25th February 2017) without any change in my condition. My treatment would have probably continued endlessly till one day an attendant who was removing my needles was asked to clean blood coming out from two points, instead of cleaning it ,she replied that other patients are waiting & she can't spend more time . I thought it was very insensitive response from a staff It obviously annoyed me. When narrated this to Dr. Raman Kapur, he was very casual about it, told me that I should not come to his clinic if I didn’t want to. . If the doctor is condescending, then I rather go to another doctor who would treat me with respect. For any patient more than the knowledge of the doctor EMPATHY is also important.
Dr. Kapur always interrupted when described my symptoms ,never got a direct reply about the treatment or progress .Dr. Raman's attitude left me feeling intimidated, angry, frustrated and host of other negative emotions, none of which is helpful for improving the condition.
I found the clinic Highly commercial
I always reached for my appointments on time, but most of the time had to wait for 30- 40 minutes before my treatment started. Waiting in the cabin in a thin robe for so long in extreme winters without any heating provision made me feel helpless .
Blood Stained Pillow covers on few occasions
Crumpled sheets (not always changed between patients)
Doubt if hands are sanitized before inserting or removing needles as staff & the doctor are always in hurry.
Experience not worth repeating and recommending.
Dr. Kapur thinks he is God....his ego may get in the way of good care & healing his Patients.
Wish him Luck!

Hoped for better: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for moneyWait time
Twice I had gone with a confirmed appointment but had to wait for more than an hour on each occasion without a word of apology from either the doctor or his staff. In fact, both were downright rude and discourteous.
No effort to explain the health issue inspite of such inflated fees and no prior permission for add on treatments.
A highly overrated doctor.

Happy with: Treatment satisfaction
I had acute problem & got relief after 20 sittings. This happened in Y12-13.
I have now symptoms of golfers elbow. Need to get checked again.
