Visited Dr. Rajan Kumar (Neurosurgeon) For Spinal Fusion

I was suffering for L5S1 disc extrusion. I went to Bihar in 2022 and met with a spine surgeon in Patna Sheikpura , Pillar no 73 . I will not mention his name . He did micro disctomy of mine at Curis Hospital in Patna and said that the herniated disc has been removed . However I was not felling good even after the surgery. Being a researcher I am always curious about learning and knowing new things. When I went to the OT of Curis Hospital, I was totally shocked by their setup . Even an OT of a remote village hospital is good . By that time it's already been late to go to another hospital. I was confused as my removed herniated disc has not shown to my parents.
After 9 months I did MRI and again same herniated disc occurred at L5S1 level that is nearly same of last MRI. It made me more confused.
Finally I went to AMRI and met with DR. RAJAN. He did my surgery of l5s1 TLIF. During surgery he came to know that my disc has been calcified that is a very rare case and critical too. He has done my surgery successfully and later on told us that previous doctor has done nothing in the name of surgery.
We are very thankful to Dr. Rajan for saving my life and giving a ray of hope to live a life with full confidence. I am at my 1 month of post surgery and now I am able to walk 2 hrs , 4-5kms so I am hoping that within couple of months I'll be fully recover.
We strongly suggest and recommend people to meet Dr. Rajan Kumar at AMRI . He is one the most genuine experienced and humble neurosurgeon in our Country. The level of facilities at AMRI MUKUNDAPUR is superb.
Apologies for long story.
God bless all!

Visited Dr. Shilpita Banerjee (Gynecologist)
Very bad experience. Today I went to Dr. Shilpita Banerjee at AMRI hospital, Mukundapur to show my wife's test report, it was the 9th day since my last visit. But she told me to pay fees otherwise she will not check the reports, *** **** ***** ****** she doesn't think about the patient side. She told "if I check the reports that will delayed other patients", but if I pay fees then it will not delayed others, * **** *** ******** *** **** * ****** ** *** ** *** *** ******* ******* ***** I told her that everyone's financial situation is not that strong to pay the fees for showing the reports, ultimately she agreed to see the reports without fees but her secretary told at the bill desk that "he does not have money so make a zero bill". I really feel insulted with that sentence ******* * ** * ********* ** *** ****** *********** ********** *** * ******* Finally she checked the reports but I don't know if she checked those carefully or not because after completing the prescription I had to tell her about the deficiency of vitamin D, then she prescribed the medicine for that. I told my wife has little bit cough, she told consult with medicine doctor. I asked whether the urea level was ok? She told me to consult with an urologist. ** * **** ** ******* **** ******** ******* *** **** ***** ****** **** **** *** ******** ******** **** *** * ***** *** ***** **** **** *** ******* ****** **** ***** *** ********* ******** On my first visit Dr Shilpita Banerjee took at most 3 minutes for consultation and today she took at most 2 minutes to see the reports and I could not complete my query she called the next patient, like she did not want to listen to my queries. Considering my two days visit I strongly do not recommend this doctor.

Hoped for better: Explanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
My mother Mrs Amita Kar , Patient ID-AM30102812 underwent Whipple surgery under Dr. Sanjay Mandal on 14 th november. She was prescribed 10 daye of hospital stay But her stay extended beyond 10 days & the doc did not give us any reason. She was undergoing different pathological tests but when asked for reports the doc denied having seen them. We were confused. After 15 days the doc said she would be discharged. Meanwhile my mother looked frail & lost. Her stomach was abnormally bloated. But the doc said that she was fine.on the day of discharge the doc said that as the patient was on liquid diet she should be given 12 feeds through the feeding tube & the rest orally. He also wrote that in discharge certificate. On the day of discharge before going home we asked the nurse to explain to us the procedure of feeding through food tube. The sisters replied that the feeding tube had jammed & become nonfunctional. We called the doc immediatwly. He said he did not know this & asked us to oral feed the patient. We were stunned r. My mother had to be taken home in an ambulance on a stretcher. She was drowsy & looking lost. Her limbs were numb. She seemed abnormally heavy. Her stomach was extremely bloated. But the doc had said she was fine. We took her home on 28th evening. On 29 th after noon she stopped urinating. We frantically went through her reports & found her potassium levels were way below normal but probably she has had no treatment for that. On 30 th mornjng she urinated after 10 hours. After that suddenly a yellow fluid oozed from her mouth. She suddenly collapsed. The fluid was still oozing from her mouth. She was dead within a few secinds. We were dumbstruck.we called up dr mandal. But he was busy in OT. I had had great faith in Dr. Mandal. But his post operative ******* ******** proved fatal for my mother. And he had promised me that she would liv

The moment I spoke to Dr Rajan Kumar, I felt that my father, 81 years old, was in safe hands, and I felt very positive with his assurance. My father had acute sub dural hematoma (Dr Kumar diagnosed after seeing the CT scan brain, which I did before meeting him as suggested by a doctor friend of mine), and Dr Rajan Kumar told my father needed emergency Burr hole surgery. Surgery was performed successfully by Dr Rajan Kumar.. condition of my father improved drastically after the surgery, and it went on improving more and more gradually. After 6 months, his CT scan shows no signs of the acute sub dural hematoma. He is completely cured now. I must say heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rajan Kumar for saving my father's life and helping him recover completely. He is not only a good doctor, but his polite and calmness amazed me. He has a positive aura that will let anyone feel safe and take away all the negativities. Thank you again, Dr. Rajan Kumar. I wish you a great journey. Keep saving lives.

My father (71 yrs) had to undergo emergency brain surgery (right side craniotomy and left side burr hole) on 27th April, 2024. He was taken to emergency at 6pm at AMRI Mukundapur (now Manipal hospital) and the operation started at 9pm. It lasted for 2.5 hours. After the operation Dr. Kumar has shown the ot video clip to us and explained everything. The good thing about him his considering the criticality, he decided to do the operation based on the CT report performed outside. This saved a lot of time and saved my father. Because in such situations time is key and patient can go to comma anytime. Post operation he came to his senses the very next morning and recovered smoothly. Till now three OPD visits have been completed and every time the doctor checks him with empathy, always communicates with us very openly and provide necessary guidance. He doesn't over-prescribe medicines and diagnostic tests. I have seen only few doctors with such good heart and Dr. Rajan Kumar is one of them.
