Dr. Ashok Mehta is a Cancer Surgeon in Andheri West, Mumbai and has an experience of more than 52 years in this field. Dr. Ashok Mehta practices at the Brahma Kumaris' Global Hospital, Andheri West, Mumbai. He was trained in Surgical Oncology (Cancer Surgery) at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai between 1964-69 and travelled to UK and USA in 1969-1970 to return and join the Department of Surgery at the Tata Memorial Hospital in 1970 from where he retired in 1998 as the Professor and Head, Department of Surgery and a Surgeon and Chief of Head & Neck Service. He established Department of Oncology at the Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai and was Head of Department of Oncology since 1974, and Surgical Oncologist at the Lilavati & Jaslok Hospitals, Mumbai. Published a book on Diagnosis & Management of Cancer (2005, Jaypee Publishers) –first of its kind in India.
