Gallbladder removal and hair loss
Hello doctor... My gallbladder was removed in oct 2021 due a pain and infection.. A month after the surgery I started experiencing hair loss and I visited hair specialist and they gave me multivitamins tabs and minoxidil and finastrate spay.. it's been almost a year and still there is a lot of hair loss.. I have almost lost half of my hair after the gallbladder removal.. Is it directly related? Also want to know will it be a good option to take bile salts with meal so that nutrients are observed properly.. Pls guide me. I don't know whom to approach

I don't think that it is directly related, there are many cause for hair fall. Try to eat high protein foods like curd, eggs, paneer, chicken and also milk. Try to take seeds like pumpkin, chia, seeds daily to improve the strength of hair

Hi Removal of gall bladder could be one of the reason for hair loss due to fat malabsorption that hampers absorption and storage of fat soluble vitamins .
