Regarding Protein Intake
Hi, I am hitting the gym and consuming around 40-50gms of protein for my 60Kg body weight. Most of my protein comes from eggs and protein shakes. My doubt is 'what would be the effect on my body if i might reduce the protein intake' ? Kindly provide the information. Thanks. -Sharath

hi, you will need to calculate the protein content of your entire diet including cereals, dal , veggies, milk, curd and of course egg and protein shake. you need min 1.2- 1.5 gm protein per kg body weight if you are a regular gym person. Lower intake of protein will not keep your body in anabolic state , meaning you will not achieve the lean muscle mass or increase your stamina. having said that, its perfectly ok to take 0.8 to 1 gm protein/kg body wt for a normal person to be healthy and have good immunity.
