My mother aged 55 got root canal done / The procure was half completed & later doctor filled the cavity (vain) with medicine & closed it with temp cement & called us after 1 week / In between the temp cement came out in pices- Now we are worried that the medicine in the canal will come out & bacteria will enter the newly cleaned vain. Doctor has not given us any antibiotics as well - Just given a Tan-x to rub on Gums

ANTIBIOTICS are not needed in each case of root canal treatment. Temporary filling should be replaced by permanent filling now. visit your dentist, he will do the needful.

hello,
There is no need to worry. the temporary cement will be replaced with a permanent filling. Then get a crown placed over it. Don't delay the treatment.
Ideally if a tooth recieves an intentional rct , it can be finished in a single sitting. In case the tooth has some infection or pain, the rct may take 2 to 3 sittings to be finished. 1 week of waiting time between the sittings is not advisable per se but it varies with cases. I would suggest you to see an endodontist (root canal specialist) in case you have any doubts.
Hello,
In case the temporary cement is dislodged, you need to go back to your dentist and get the temporary done again as this could lead to cross contamination.Once the RCT is completed get a crown done immediately.

Please don't worry about the filling out. Just get the treatment completed which is prime importance. Also don't forget to get a crown done after the root canal.
