Hi doctor, My wife is currently working and she has a regular 9-7 job. Along with this she does household chores. From last few months we have noticed that she is loosing weight. her current weight is 46kg. We don't skip any meals. Could you please advice what can be done to increase some weight.

Many reasons may be of wt loss so at first find out reason of wt loss. Start ur day with exercise and brisk walk morning and evening which increase ur metabolism. Don't skip ur breakfast which increase ur appetite. Take high calorie and rich protein In ur diet. Add good fat and nuts in ur diet. Add plenty of water.. Avoid junk food and oily food.

Hello, It can be due to various reason. Also not taking proper diet/meals can cause increase in weight. Losing weight continuously can be due to a lot of reasons. Suggestion is to get checked for any underlying medical condition. -Exercise daily for an hour -Include protein in your diet (taking protein rich foods post workout helps in muscle building) -Increase fiber in your diet (Will help you stay full) -Include fruits and vegetables in your diet (2-3 serving) -Take 5-6 meals a day. -Water intake of atleast 3L per day -Add healthy fat like nuts to your diet. -Avoid/Exclude fried, sugary and junk food -Eat a balanced and healthy diet -Do not skip breakfast as 40% of days energy is from breakfast NOTE: The above mentioned practices can change according to a specific medical condition

Hi I can't comment without knowing her diet schedule and if any other medical history that why she loosing weight. Loosing weight reason can be some Vitamin and mineral deficiency or some medical issue. I would suggest you to meet for one to one counselling session so the we can better assess that whats going wrong with your wife and why she is loosing weight. Always remember it's the body in which you have to live in so take care of it
