I am Vinothkumar, age 39 from Chennai. I underwent tonsil and nasal surgery under the care of Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty, an ENT specialist, after struggling with severe health issues for over 15 years. I had persistent problems with sleep, heavy snoring, and difficulty breathing, which made it nearly impossible to lie down and sleep at night. During the day, I constantly felt exhausted and drowsy, even while driving, which was very concerning. Over the years, I consulted multiple ENT specialists, but nothing seemed to help. In fact, my condition worsened with each passing year, especially in the last two years, causing significant worry for both me and my family.
During this difficult time, a close friend recommended Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty. After consulting with him, he recommended a sleep study, CT scan, and advanced MRI. Upon reviewing the results, he informed me that I had a 98% airway blockage in both my throat and nasal passages. He advised immediate surgery, assuring me that while it would be a major procedure due to my weight (113kg) and breathing difficulties, he was confident in the outcome.
I was admitted to a leading private hospital within two days, and after obtaining clearance from the anesthesiologist and pulmonologist, the surgery was scheduled for August 13th, 2024. The surgery lasted around 5 to 6 hours due to the complexity of my breathing issues, but Dr. Sanjeev performed it with great expertise. After the surgery, I immediately noticed significant improvements in my condition.
When I met Dr. Sanjeev in the ICU post-surgery, he asked me how I was feeling. Overwhelmed with gratitude, I couldn’t hold back my tears. I saw him as a life-saver and thanked him from the bottom of my heart. His entire medical team was also incredibly caring and attentive, making me feel comfortable and supported throughout my recovery. I stayed in the hospital for six days, during which the team checked on me multiple times each day to ensure I was recovering well.
Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty, you have truly saved my life, and I am forever grateful. You are like a god to me. On behalf of myself and my family, I extend my heartfelt thanks to you and your amazing team. Thank you so much!
I strongly recommend my Doctor for ENT and neck problems. During my problem I have searched for specialist in obstructive sleep apnea but I found him is the leading specialist and surgeon in obstructive sleep apnea problem for more than 30+ years experience and he did n number of surgeries. Moreover, he is so friendly and very easy to reach him and he respond as well. Once again thank you Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty sir.

My chronic sinusitis, very severe, resulting in a complete anosmia and difficulty of breathing and oxygenating my body and my brain, is the result of a complex and long evolution of an illness which is the direct result of 'a very serious fracture of the nasal septum which I suffered during my sport career.
This illness, which I have carried within me like a heavy burden for half my life, has handicapped me and I have become accustomed to living without smelling, without having taste! Practicing “blindly” the social activity that I adore, cooking, the pleasure of receiving friends and sharing a great moment only by using my childhood memory was like a drama for me.
The second consequence of my illness was continuous, if not perpetual fatigue; systematic exhaustion at the end of the week, I fully supported my job with a lot of sacrifices and physical investment; a self-sacrifice that includes obligatory naps every weekend to regain strength, extreme efforts to cope with my responsibilities in an intellectually and physically demanding job.
I have had surgery 4 times, septoplasties, nasal polyps and turbinate removal, on almost every continent! My first operation was in Paris, my second in Buenos-Aires, my third in Paris again, my fourth in Spain. I met more than fifty specialists in these countries and in Portugal, Algeria or in Czech Republic. I must have had over 40 CT scans of my sinuses!!! The use of a CPAP machine in 2012 made it possible to treat my sleep apnea and partially improve my sleep situation, but my difficulty in breathing has never really been cured. All the alternative medicines, all the thermal cures in the many large countries in which I have lived, have not succeeded in overcoming my disease.
I consulted the clinic of Professor Mohanty Sanjeev following a bacterial sinus infection that a famous “Expat Hospital” in Chennai didn’t succeed to cure. This infection further complicated the context of my illness. At the very first moment of my consultation, I felt that I was dealing with a very great professional of extreme precision and rare know-how.
Very quick in his analyses, careful in listening, he offered to go for surgery in our second meeting after a CT scan analysis. Very warm, very close to his patients, I immediately felt confident, and I did not hesitate for a second to undergo for surgery very few days after. My sisters who are doctors often talk about the doctor-patient relationship. It is one of the important keys to treatment and in my case, it was the trigger because my operation was expected to be very complicated given the number of interventions already carried out.
My leaping feeling was confirmed throughout an operational process which was not “déjà vu”: The protocol put in place by Professor Mohanty Sanjeev is for sure in the WORLD BENCH. Very high level of professionalism of its teams. I particularly appreciated his didactic approach with his team and also with me. My operation was a complete success. I breathe, I have found life again, I work better and above all I have regained my sense of smell and taste.
I thank you very warmly Professor Mohanty Sanjeev. So Great, So Amazing said by the “Glob Trotter” that I am, is not a sufficient compliment! I will say quite simply and very sincerely “Excellent Job”, and I will allow myself to treat you like my sisters, doctors, with this closeness that you establish with your patients whom you treat like your family, and wish you to continue practicing for at least 25 years. , these long years that I waited to breathe again, regain taste and smell, to simply live again.
I recommend strongly Professor Mohanty Sanjeev, wherever you are on our planet, from the Americas, Africa, Middle East, Europe, and of course Asia, you will not easily find this level of expertise and human warmth.

I am Paramasivam from Vridhachalam, Cuddalore district.Admitted for Angioplasty in MGM on 5th of April, 2024. After recovery at the time of discharge, I wanted to convey my long standing complaint of fish bone (which I thought to be) in the lateral border of the tongue which is giving pain and there has been difficulty of eating on that side. Conveyed this to my sister's son, Raghuram (You can find his own surgical experience in the review section). Since he already had a good acquaintance with Dr Sanjeev Mohanty, he requested Cardiologist doctor to make Dr Sanjeev attend to me. At the first consultation itself, the doctor found it to be a cancerous ulcerative lesion and conveyed the same to my nephew. And Biopsy has been sought. The Biopsy was done (Just 3 days after Angioplasty). After 1 week, we got the results in which the ulcerative lesion is found to be Squamous Cell Carcinoma. As per TNM staging, it is found to be T1N0Mx. But initially I was not ready to accept it as Cancer and don't want to undergo any surgery. ** **** ** ****** *** ********** ** ****** ****** ************ **** ******* ****** ************ ** **** * **** ********* ** ***** ** ** **** *** ** ***** *** ** ******* **** ********* *** **** ********** ***** **** * *** **** *********** *** *** **** ******* *** **** ******* **** *** ************** ******* *** ****** *** ********** ******* *********** *** *** ********** **** *********** The Cardiologist opined that it is not possible to stop brilenta (blood-thinner) just before 3 months from the date of Angioplasty. So I went to my native without any hope in life. But my nephew deliberated a lot and wanted me to take this call as he had a lot of trust in Dr Sanjeev Mohanty. Once again Consulted Cardiologist in June month, Doctor given his nod to the Surgery with a high risk from Cardiac Point of View. Dr Sanjeev Mohanty asked us to stop brilenta from 8th of June and Surgery has been planned on 13th June. Despite the high risk from both Cardiac and anaesthetic point of view, Dr. Sanjeev Mohanty assured us about the outcome of surgery. The 6 hours surgery has been done successfully without any complications. The doctor has always been friendly and with the coming days, we have become more of a family friends. Post Discharge after 5 days from the surgery, I encountered a Secondary Haemorrhage (at night) which is well attended by Doctors assistant in the emergency department and Dr Sanjeev co-ordinated well with his assistants and also with my nephew. Recovered completely and adjuvant radiotherapy is planned (Though margins are free), for extended safety. This extended part of my life would not have been possible without Dr Sanjeev Mohanty******** ********** *********** ************ ************* ***** ********* *********** ****** ****** *** ****** ****** **** ******** *************
