Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
On the day of 5th Jan 2021 Morning, I had severe Heart Attack and went to Nearby Hospital for treatment, they checked and found i have attack with triple vessel disease,100% Mid LAD thrombotic occlusion(IRA), As there is no further facility at the hospital They suggested some hospitals to go for treatment as I was in the situation to get treatment as soon as possible to save my life, My Wife and relatives Tried to contact many cardiologist specialist doctors from Many hospitals, But none of the Doctors are Ready to treat my case due the criticality of my situation. The Only Doctor Ready to take Risk to treat me was Dr Viginesh Thanikgaivasan (Was in Miot Hospital) with the reference of my Sister-in-law and her husband. I was treated by him on an emergency basis and the diagnosis: Coronary artery disease. Acute Evolved Anterior wall M.I-Delayed presentation with congestive heart failure(cardiomyopathy with severe Biventricular dydfunction), Covid 19 test-Negative, Diabetes Mellitus. After obtaining informed consent I was brought to the Cath Lab. Coronary angiogram was performed. The procedure was uncomplicated, and I left the catheterization lab in stable hemodynamic condition. His timely diagnosis and the performance of procedure in a successful way brought me to a Stable condition. Almost three year now I have been undergoing periodical reviews and following his advice as per his Review Report on a month war basis and keeping my health condition under good control. As a Doctor, he is user friendly, easily approachable and cordial to deal the patients. Myself and my family will have to thank him always for his timely treatment to save my life at the crucial juncture. Thanks doctor for your help and make me alive.
Visited Dr. Vijay Shankar S (General Physician)
If you, your family or friends need consultation or second opinion regarding a Cardiac procedure, please read below. I have shared my honest story and it could help you to choose the right Surgeon.
My dad was diagnosed with Coronary artery disease with 2 full blocks and a partial block. He was under ICU care for 5 days after the discovery and was advised medical intervention immediately. So, we were looking for a second opinion from an experienced Surgeon and came to know about Dr.Vijay Shankar S, who has performed surgery for couple of our cousins and read good reviews about him online as well.
In the initial consultation, he took time to review all the reports carefully, listened to us about Dad's well being and provided his honest opinion that he needs some medical intervention for long term health but we have time to plan what type of procedure and when. So, that gave us hope that my Dad's life is not hanging by a thread and if we have to perform any procedure, then we have the right Doctor to do so.
In the other Hospital, they scared us that we need to do the surgery quick, otherwise anything could happen. We made a bold decision to discharge my Dad from that Hospital and took him to Dr.Vijay Shankar S at Apollo, Greams road. After 5 days of ICU care, we brought him in a wheel chair to Dr. Vijay shankar, he surprised all of us and asked my Dad to walk by himself after 5 days of ICU and my Dad did. Yes, he walked with the strength he gave.
At that time, I determined if any one is going to give better cardiac care to my Dad, that's him. He is very passionate in what he does, cares for the patient and their family and approachable with the listening ear. I haven't seen any Doctor, who provides their personal number for any emergency or clarify any doubts regarding the pre or post care. We are very luck to have him.
I admire him for what he does and we need more dedicated Doctors like him to serve us, our family and friends.
A big salute Sir to Dr.Vijay Shankar S.
Visited Dr. Ajay Narasimhan (Cardiothoracic Surgeon)
Happy with: Treatment satisfactionValue for moneyDoctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issue
Hello myself Puja from Assam. I went Chennai Apollo hospital for my fiance's treatment of Mysthenia gravis. Later we come to know that he was suffering from Mysthenia Gravis + Thymoma a kind of tumor in his thymus gland. So we advices to meet doctor Ajay Narashimha who is one of the best well known Cardio thoracic surgeon in the hospital. After consulting him told us that the patient have to go for Thymectomy surgery. At first we got tense thinking about the surgery. But the doctor explained us everything in detailed right from the cause of the problem , the process of the surgery , cost etc etc even he showed us explained us everything through video that the patient itself said that if I would be alive it will because of him and gained confidence in itself and ready for the surgery. Right from the first day the doctor use to call us time to time to ask about his health condition and meet us in his cabin to check the patient's health and after 1week of all other procedure completed we got the slot for Robotic surgery and everything was managed by him itself like booking of the slot for surgery. Even the before the surgery he visited the patient's ward to boost up his mental health. It took around 10/11 hour to complete the surgery. After the surgery he took very good care of the patient's health like regular check ups and all. He even gave us financial support as we face some problems there. Though he is very young but his experience , his way of dealing with the patient the major surgeries that he carried out are outstanding. We are very thankful to him that he gave the patient a new life. The most important thing is that the patient itself is very satisfied from Ajay Sir's work and his support. Even after we returned to our home Ajay Sir used to call us to asked the patient's health condition and advice the necessary. Whenever we need to know something about the patient's health we just inform him and he use to respond us quickly which is so helpful. Lastly I want to thank him on behalf of our whole family for giving our patient a new life. Thank you Sir and also his whole team. Will always pray for your good health.💐
