My name is Muthu Meenatchi, and I want to share my positive experience with the medical care I received at Miot Hospital, particularly under the attentive supervision of Nephrologist Dr. Yeswanth Raj. I initially sought medical attention due to platelet deficiency, vomiting, and diarrhea, which were partially addressed at another hospital. However, persistent heavy dizziness prompted me to seek further treatment at Miot Hospital.

Upon arrival, the medical team at Miot Hospital promptly identified a kidney issue within half a day. My creatinine level was alarmingly high at 7.6, and Dr. Yeswanth Raj took charge of my care. Despite the severity of my condition, Dr. Yeswanth Raj demonstrated a cautious approach, ******** *********** ********** *** *************

Under his dedicated care, I experienced a significant improvement in my condition. Within just six days of admission, my creatinine level dropped from 7.6 to 3.2. The positive progress continued through outpatient care, bringing my creatinine level down further to 0.8.

My father Mr. Rajkumar.G got admitted in MIOT hospital with major complaints of chest pain/Heart attack on Feb 19 2021. Dr. Viginesh Thanikgaivasan did an emergency recovery treatment followed by angiogram .My father had critical blocks in two vessels. Doctor Viginesh have patiently explained his health condition and prescribed the appropriate treatment. He was also friendly and very professional at his job. He took care of father very kindly and guided us in all aspects to take care of father.

After the (Stessthalium)procedure he was kind enough to meet us personally and explained the entire events of the procedure. Doctor gave a detailed advice while discharge regarding medications, diet, exercise and lifestyle modifications. I personally contacted doctor multiple times after discharge regarding small complaints, diet and medications. Doctor patiently replied to all my messages and solved my queries despite during his busy schedule.

Dr T. Yashwanth Raj - a real godsend for us. With leg swelling and diagnosis still unknown for my father, we went and met him. Did a Kidney Biopsy the other day and he took care of my father in each and every move. He explained each and every details like the Protein Creatinine ratio, Albumin and its significance as like detailing in lay man terms to us and what needs to be done next, including the Diet, the medicines after checking on with minute details for every visit we made. We got to know my father had Secondary Membranous Nephropathy and the Root cause that the doctor identified and explained us really made us very very happy as the attention, focus, the way he explained and the next steps were awesome as he told he is already on the recovery path :-) and he is like our family member. Also, my father used to do some research on the regular lab tests we used to do and used to get tensed with the numbers with the tests result. Highly recommend Dr. Hema Mala for all Liver related Issues and consultations With ASO and CRP being high in my blood reports for the past 4 years which bothered me and swelling of legs, ankles and severe itching happened suddenly during Apr 2023. Consulted a gastro enterologist and updated him all the symptoms. he gave me allergic tablets for itching and the problems resurfaced again after a brief period.After Taking CT, frequent blood and urine tests couldn't figure out why CRP levels are high and doctors suggested about body reacting to some inflammation. Finally, A fibroscan revealed severe fibrosis of liver which made me panic and raised my anxiety and hypertension levels.Diagnosing the issue is with Liver and wrong suggestions by different specialists to  go on a Low sodium 2 Litre diet , which is a check point for me and it damaged my kidneys 3 days after.With no sleep, high anxiety and low BP,  Consulted Dr. Hema Mala by 28-Aug-2023 and she listened to me patiently and heard me completely. She mentioned this liver is not going to kill me and not to have water restrictions of 2L.Dr. Hema Mala asked me to consider weight reduction seriously with a trainer and consider it as an investment to better life changes and healthier life and not to panic about the liver issues.She mentioned weight reduction should be considered in a war footing basis with diet and exercise.She has gone through my walking history and suggested, walking alone will not help and suggested strength training and follow dietician option as well.I have followed her suggestions and my anxiety levels have come down in a week, joined a gym and workout with a trainer and started endurance training, strength training along with cardio exercises which is helping me immensely with weight loss. Highly recommend Dr. Hema Mala for all Liver related Issues and consultations. We had a very positive experience in visiting Dr. Yashwanth. I am writing this feedback based on our visits to the doctor during the treatment of my father who has suffered from multiple complications including protein and sodium deficiency. Thanks to the care and effort of a team of doctors in MIOT, Chennai, my father's health condition has improved gradually. We have visited Dr. Yashwanth, a couple of times for consultation. Every time, he takes time to go through the reports for analyzing each value carefully. He studies and understands the patient's mental hesitations and physical problems. Then discusses in detail about the diagnosis and the treatment options. He lets us know options in medication, which and why the particular medication is suitable, before prescribing it. Apart from giving medications, he interacts with the patients and attenders to advise and suggest about the changes needed in the mindset and lifestyle of a person to lead a healthy and better life. My father who generally hesitates to discuss with doctors, opens up and talks with Dr. Yashwanth easily and now slowly realizes the changes needed in his lifestyle to achieve better health. A humble and expert doctor's treatment and talks are much required for speedy recovery, as it is very hard to go through a sickness. My father was admitted in miot hospital with complaints of chest pain last month. Dr. Viginesh Thanikgaivasan did an emergency angiography followed by angioplasty and stent placement.He had critical stenosis in two vessels. Angioplasty was done in the main culprit vessel.Next Angioplasty was planned for a later date.Second angioplasty was successfully done a month later under OCT ( Optical Coherence Tomography) guidance. Doctor patiently explained his health condition and need for early procedure. He was also friendly and very professional at his job.

My mother was admitted to MIOT ICU with initial diagnosis as acute pulmonary edema. During the elongated course of her stay in the hospital Dr. Yashwanth Raj attended to her as a nephrologist consultant as my mother had a lot of interrelated health issues including Acute Kidney disease with accelerated hypertension. He spoke with me during the early stages of investigation and helped explain various reasons that could cause sudden hypertension in layman's terms including both primary and secondary causes which really helped me calm down and understand my mother's health situation. He also clearly articulated the interpretation of her blood test results during our first review after discharge and suggested slight alterations in the course of BP medication to bring it down and also prescribed further tests to evaluate the impact of the altered medication. He voluntarily checked on patient's well being and also provided guidance on do's and dont's with respect to diet. He is a patient's doctor and puts the effort to listen to patients description of their health issues and provides appropriate guidance which provides patients hope and feel better mentally.

If u have any injury in knee you can visit him without any hesitation.. Fracture required immediate attention with right person.. So don't make delay it will make complicate things.. I would've visit him early (before 21 days of injury) but I didn't That's why I am sharing my experience here.. Even though he done best in my case..

I met with accident on 15th Feb 2020.. Got ACL injury and a fracture in right knee.. I had several consultatiins with other orthopaedic surgeons who are not specialised in this arthroscopic surgery.. one of them misdiagnosis my injury.. after 1 month I came to know this surgery should be done by arthroscopic specialist and met with Dr.Billy sir.. During covid 19 lock down time also he supported me very well.. He patiently explained the condition of knee after seeing CT and MRI scans.. He will patiently answering our questions and doubts..He is Professional.. Down to earth person.. Nice human being.. His care towards patient is excellent.. I never seen this kind of doctor.. Moreover he is specialised in Sports medicines and Arthroscopic surgery.. so if u have any injury in knee you can visit him without any hesitation.. Please don't make delay..Fracture can't wait it required immediate attention with right person..

I was having acute renal failure with 2 L low sodium diet, and he asked me to take 3-4 litres of water and 3-6 gms if salt.with the measurement spoons he has shown I got a clear picture of salt intake I should have per day.with no water restrictions, my creatinine which went up to 1.8 came back to 0.9, thanks to the BEST Kidney Advice provided by Dr. Yashwanth Raj.Undoubtedly Best Kidney Specialist in Chennai and best suggestions and Advice i continue to receive from him till date 

Dr VigineshThanikgaivasan cardiologist at miot hospital treated my mother and my elder brother for their heart problems. Both of them suffered heart attacks and were rushed to miot hospital. When they needed angioplasty Dr Viginesh performed the procedures swiftly and competently without complications.He is a kind gentle cardiologist who counsels and convinces patients.
