I have a stress eating disorder
I have been struggling with stress and depression for years now. I have no positive lookout towards life. I struggle to even go out of my house and meet friends and family. I struggle to talk to even my coworkers and find it very taxing emotional. My body is in too much physical pain and I feel weak all the time. The sleep cycle is completely not in my control. I had therapy session but that dint help. I'm not on any medication. How can I fix this? I want to be me again a confident active and social person I was

Hello dear, Mental illnesses can be a result of multiple factors including biological, emotional, social and personal. In order to treat these illnesses, its important to identify the underlying cause and then treat accordingly using medicine and Psychotherapy. Usually it takes a week or two before the treatment results in improvement.

Sometime you cannot only get better with therapy and required medication too. From your message it seems you required help with medication and counselling both.. You can get better and live a happy life.. so please don’t waste your life in suffering, come out and take help from psychiatrist.

Hi... Sometimes you will need to use medicines for depression when it is not controlled by therapy alone. Also hormonal imbalances can also cause depression. However I need further history to advise appropriately.
