There is no one therapy that works with trauma. A trauma informed/trained therapist will be able to help you understand, work through and heal from your trauma. You will also be able to identify and manage your triggers better.

Hey.
Usually the most effective therapy is CBT and Trauma Narrative Therapy.
In a professional setting, talking about the trauma and reliving the memories with the therapist really helps.
Triggers are things that give you stress and they will always be around you: it could be anything. However, you can work on not being affected by those triggers so much so that it hinders your day to day life.
Next Steps
I suggest you work with a therapist.
Health Tips
Identify the triggers that affect you, it could be sounds, smells, things, places, people.
Work with a therapist.
CBT works well with Trauma and PTSD. However, if you do get triggered, sit back and reflect on your triggers and pen them down somewhere so that you're aware of your triggers. Instead of avoiding or ignoring the triggers, acknowledge the trigger, acknowledge and accept that you're getting triggered and feel what you're feeling. I know it can be extremely uncomfortable and not easy, but when you allow yourself feel those emotions, the emotions may not seem as uncomfortable as they're. Alongside, I will request you to seek professional help to work through the unresolved and unaddressed trauma that you and your body might be holding on to. But, remember, You can heal from what you cannot Feel'. :)
Addressing trauma triggers and PTSD involves considering therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The choice between these therapies depends on individual needs and preferences. To handle trauma triggers effectively, it's important to work with a therapist who can guide you through strategies like exposure and response prevention, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques. Building emotional resilience and self-soothing skills is also crucial for coping with distressing emotions. While triggers can be managed and their impact reduced through therapy and coping mechanisms, the extent of long-term healing varies among individuals. Some may find lasting relief, while others may still experience triggers during times of stress. Nevertheless, with the right support, triggers can be effectively managed, allowing for a fulfilling life and promoting healing and recovery.
Hi... 'Systematic Desensitisation' is the best method to deal with such issues. It is primarily meant to treat phobias but it will work well in your case because your trauma is getting triggered when you are trying to address your issues by talking about them. It is a time taking process but it will work well. If these triggers (memories/flashback) are bit bearable, then CBT will also work well. Sometimes, our mind is trying to forget an unpleasant event and anything that brings that memory in our immediate consciousness triggers a panic response. But ultimately we need to address those issues in our conscious mind otherwise they will keep interfering with our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours at a more latent level, i.e., subconscious or unconscious mind. If you think that this particular trauma has more deeper subconscious/unconscious roots than even Psychoanalysis will also work well. Remember, there is no one best solution to solve a problem, but there are more appropriate and effective ways to address a problem. Choose a professional and let them suggest what will work best for you.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist.

---Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
---Psychoanalysis
Hi. I would suggest you seek counselling or speak to a therapist who can help you to address your trauma and talk about it. Yes triggers can be healed forever. With the right help, you will be able to validate and accept and come to a consensus with your trauma. Temporarily avoiding it or coping with it might give you short term relief but addressing it and understanding triggers fully with the help of a counsellor can help to lower and almost eliminate the intensity of your trauma and how you deal with it.
