Breaking Barriers

Dr. Shukla is quite good at what she does. A mark of her attention to the client is the fact that she doesn't feel the need to take notes while talking to you and from the very first meeting manages to establish a level of comfort which encourages one to be more open about what you may wish to talk about. She's a good listener and good at picking out the core issues to be worked on. She's quite professional and friendly and is extremely kind and understanding about accommodating dates in case of change in circumstances or plans. I find her invested in her clients and genuinely concerned about their well being - emotionally and otherwise.

For those who may feel apprehensive about seeking help and fear they will not be understood by anyone, I would really suggest meeting with her once to just talk everything out. She's smart, kind and not judgmental. It's really helpful and contributes a lot in getting you at least half way to where you want to be, if not the full distance, in just a few sessions.

I had consulted Atika for my mother who is a depression patient for more than a decode now and has been on anti depressants since then. We wanted to move away from the anti depressants and move towards counselling. We tried many counsellors but found Atika to be the best one, she gives you ample time and listens to you with all the patience. She knows her job very well and makes the person comfortable, understands the issues and gives possible and effective solutions. I had 5 sessions with her and with each session I got better. In these sessions she was a friend, a counselor and a doctor to me. She is very patient and listens to every bit of your problems. I would recommend her. Over all a good experience..

Ms. Atika has a lovable, caring personality which blends well with her intellect and the results for me have been fantastic as she Zero-d in on the genisis of my problem and suggested me exercises to overcome obstacles I was facing. I would love to recommend her.
