Vomiting, slight temperature

2020-08-04 13:13:44
Hello, My daughter is 2 month 19 days old now. I observe some changes in the past couple days. Not sure if it is all ok. -  vomiting 3 times more than before -  temperature (armpit) is 98.6, feels warm -  wanting to latch continuously -  potty was greenish last 2 days but today it is yellow again She is exclusively on breastfeed. And is sleeping fine. Smiling and active as per her age. Please suggest if I need to do anything. Thank you.

Hi ,temperature   is normal ,temperature  more than 100 F needs attention . Sometimes  with dehydration  like inadequate feeds in your case, may be why  the Baby is a appearing  warm .but not feverish ! Please  u eat healthy at least 4 to 5 times a day and drink good amount of water ABT 1.5 to 2 litres per day . Greenish potty without fever and colic are normal and also due to hunger, so ur  baby is latching more  than usual .

1st.. don't worry about potty. Babies on breast feeding dont get stomach Infection as such.. 2nd.. you didn't mention about weight.. continuously latching can be just for comfort or if baby is not getting enough milk... 3rd.. is it voming like whole milk or just spit out?? Make baby burp after each feeding, make him vertical position for 15 to 20 min after feeding and make him lie down in inclined position... 4th.. 98.6 temp can be normal.. make baby wear light cotton clothes. Keep fan and or AC on..

Continue breast feeds. If she feels warm, check temp.If temp in arm pit is >99degrees Fahrenheit, give her paracetamol drops 0.5 ml every 6hours.Fever could be the cause of her vomiting. If she remains sick beyond a day show your baby to nearby paediatrician.
Next Steps
Do not worry about green stools.
Health Tips
Check if your baby has greenish vomitus. If there is bilious (green) vomitus it is a cause of worry
